    TASKS:

    1. Writes, visits, or telephones potential blood donors, contributors, and members to explain blood program or to solicit contributions or membership in organization.

    2. Collects pledges, funds, or gifts-in-kind from contributors, or membership dues, or payments for publications.

    3. Compiles and analyzes information about potential contributors to develop mailing or contact lists and to prepare promotional campaign.

    4. Prepares brochures for mail-solicitation programs.

    5. Schedules appointments for blood donations or for pick-up of gifts-in-kind.

    6. Sells emblems or other tokens of organization represented.

    7. Plans social functions to generate interest and enthusiasm for activity being promoted.

    8. Records and maintains records of activities, such as members enrolled, funds pledged or collected, expenses incurred, and donors enlisted.

    9. Writes letter to express appreciation for donation.

    10. Trains volunteers to perform certain duties to assist fund raising.
