TITLE: Flight Instructors
DEFINITION: Train new and experienced pilots seeking licenses or experience on new aircraft.
TASKS:
1. Instructs new pilots in company regulations and procedures and in operation of company's aircraft.
2. Conducts training and review courses in use of equipment, flight procedures, and techniques.
3. Observes and evaluates performance, knowledge, and skills of pilots, using manuals, check lists, or proficiency tests.
4. Explains operation of aircraft components, such as altimeter, tachometer, rudder, and flaps.
5. Demonstrates techniques for controlling aircraft during taxiing, takeoff, spins, stalls, turns, and landings.
6. Notes pilot's compliance with and infringement of company or Federal Aviation Administration flight regulations.
7. Compiles and issues reports on findings to appropriate company and Federal Aviation Administration officials.
8. Holds Commercial Pilot's Certificate, with instructor's rating, issued by Federal Aviation Administration.
