materials for publication, broadcast, or motion picture production. This includes planning
arrangement of material, rewriting, verifying, compiling, and abstracting according to standards of
consistency, organization, development or specified viewpoint. Editors coordinate the work of
authors, designers, production personnel, and printers. Editors of specialized types of written
material are also included.
