TITLE: Machinery Maintenance Mechanics, Water or Power Generation Plant
DEFINITION: Install, adjust, repair, and maintain machinery in power generating stations and water treatment plants. Duties include the repair and maintenance of mechanical elements of generators, waterwheels, piping, and water-inlet controls in generating stations; steam boilers, condensers, pumps, compressors, and similar equipment in gas manufacturing plants; and equipment used to process and distribute water for human consumption and industrial use.
TASKS:
1. Dismantles machinery and equipment to repair or replace faulty parts, using hand and power tools.
2. Sets up and operates machine tools to repair or reproduce mechanical elements, using blueprint or defective part.
