TITLE: Tree, Log, and Brush Cutters
DEFINITION: Trim trees and brush and split logs, using saws and axes.
TASKS:
1. Removes branches interfering with communication or electric power lines, using climbing equipment or bucket of extended truck boom.
2. Prunes trees and trims jagged stumps, using saws or pruning shears.
3. Rives (splits) logs or wooden blocks into bolts, pickets, posts, or stakes, using hand tools, such as ax wedges, sledgehammer, and mallet.
4. Fells trees and cuts limbs from felled trees, using portable power saw or ax.
5. Removes broken limbs from wires, using hooked extension pole.
6. Hoists tools and equipment to tree trimmer and lowers branches with rope or block and tackle.
