This division includes occupations concerned with the practical application of physical laws and
principles of engineering or architecture for the development and utilization of machines,
materials, instruments, structures, processes, and services. Typical specializations are research,
design, construction, testing, procurement, production, operations, and sales. Also includes
preparation of drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, and participation in verification
tests.
