TITLE(s): LIFT-SLAB OPERATOR (construction) alternate titles: slab lifting engineer; slab lifting supervisor Operates hydraulic jacks to raise precast concrete floors and roof slabs into position: Directs HYDRAULIC-JACK ADJUSTERS (construction) engaged in erecting scaffolds, hoisting and installing hydraulic jacks on top of support columns, erecting lift rods, and fastening them to jack and support plates set in concrete slab. Measures and marks grade lines on support columns. Connects pump and jacks to control panel, and positions panel on slab so that jacks and grade marks may be observed during lifting.
