Assists RIGGER (ship-boat mfg.) in moving, lifting, and positioning machinery and structural members of ships under repair or construction: Positions chain falls or hoists, air pullers, and block and tackle as directed by RIGGER (ship-boat mfg.). Pulls or slacks off on rigging, following hand signals, to maneuver equipment in close quarters, lay keel and bilge blocks in drydock, and position ship in drydock.
