TITLE: Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinators
DEFINITION: Develop and coordinate implementation of vocational rehabilitation programs.
1. Develops proposals for rehabilitation programs to provide needed services, utilizing knowledge of program funding sources and government regulations.
2. Consults with community groups and personnel from rehabilitation agencies to identify need for new or modified vocational rehabilitation programs.
3. Collects and analyzes data to define and resolve rehabilitation problems, utilizing knowledge of vocational rehabilitation theory and practice.
4. Monitors program operations and recommends additional measures to ensure programs meet defined needs.
5. Negotiates contracts for rehabilitation program equipment and supplies.
6. Plans and provides training for vocational rehabilitation staff.
