    TASKS:

    1. Directs activities concerned with the disposal of surplus or unclaimed property and materials.

    2. Authorizes and contracts for the purchase of materials, equipment, products, and services.

    3. Prepares plans for selling and maintaining materials and property.

    4. Prepares, reviews, and negotiates bids and estimates with firms, bidders, and customers.

    5. Examines performance requirements, delivery schedules, and estimates cost of material, equipment, and production.

    6. Advises company departments concerning contractual rights and obligations.

    7. Inspects inventory and transfers or fills material and equipment requests.

    8. Examines and evaluates materials and property to ensure conformance to company standards.

    9. Reviews data, such as inventories, budgets, planning reports, vendor brochures, and property reports to obtain information about property needs, status, and availability.
