Observes signal lights that indicate yarn breaks and malfunction of specified sections of machine. Records information regarding malfunction on flag card and places card on machine unit to signal maintenance crew. Reads doff schedule or uses gauge to determine when packages should be doffed. Doffs full takeup packages.
